Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet, Brass with Spring Spout

A spring-spout pull-down kitchen faucet built from solid brass, with a ceramic disc valve core for smooth, drip-free operation. The single lever handles hot and cold, and the spout rotates for full sink coverage.

The pull-down sprayer makes short work of rinsing produce and filling tall pots. Rated for water temperatures up to 194 degrees Fahrenheit.

Available in matte black, beige, gray, black and gold, gold with a white spring hose, and gold with a black spring hose. Two finishes include an LED spout.

Installation

Plan on an hour for a first-timer. You will want a basin wrench, an adjustable wrench, a bucket and a flashlight. Clear everything out from under the sink before you start.

1. Close both shutoff valves under the sink, then open the old faucet to release pressure. Put the bucket underneath.
2. Disconnect the hot and cold supply lines from the old faucet. Reach the mounting nuts up behind the basin with the basin wrench and back them off, then lift the old faucet out.
3. Scrape the old putty or caulk off the sink deck and wipe it clean so the new gasket seats flat.
4. Feed the hoses and the threaded shank down through the sink hole. Seat the deck gasket underneath the faucet body.
5. From below, slide on the washer and mounting nut and tighten. Keep the faucet square with the back of the sink while you snug it down. The exposed spring needs clearance, so check it is not fouling a backsplash or a window sill before you commit.
6. Connect the supply lines. Hot goes to the left inlet, cold to the right. Hand-tighten, then a quarter to half turn with the wrench. These seal on a rubber washer or a cone, so do not crank on them.
7. Snap the pull-down hose onto the spout outlet until it clicks, then tug it to confirm it is locked.
8. Open both shutoffs slowly and check every joint for weeping with the flashlight.
9. Unscrew the aerator, run hot and cold for a minute to flush debris out of the lines, then put the aerator back. Skipping this is the usual reason a new faucet trickles.

Use and care

Lift the lever for volume and swing it side to side for temperature. Pull the sprayer head down as far as you need and let go when you are done. The spring pulls the head back into position on its own, so there is no counterweight to adjust.

Wipe the finish with a damp cloth and dry it. If flow weakens, unscrew the aerator and rinse the screen. Do not use abrasive pads or bleach on a brass finish.
